Cards Hedlund, Kramer garner Mid-State All-Conference

Two Boone Central Cardinals received Mid-State All-Conference honors for their efforts during the 2019-20 high school basketball season.
Cardinal senior Lauren Hedlund, who has signed to play basketball at Morningside College, is one of ten players on the girls all-conference team. Boone Central junior Ryan Kramer represents the Cardinals on the 10-man boys all-conference list.
Hedlund was a do-it-all standout for Boone Central during a 9-14 campaign. She averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.1 steals per game while shooting 44% from the field and 64% at the foul line.
Kramer was one of the Cardinal leaders on a 7-17 team, posting averages of 11.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists, hitting 42% of his field goal attempts and 71% of his free throws.
Guardian Angels Central Catholic and Crofton each had two players selected all-conference in girls voting, with Boone Central, Battle Creek Hartington Cedar Catholic, Norfolk Catholic, O’Neill and Pierce each represented by one team member. On the boys side, Battle Creek placed three players on the all-Conference list, and Wayne, Cedar Catholic and Pierce had two selections each. Kramer completed the all-conference team.
