Very successful blood drive here last week

Boone Central students register donors at the March 18 blood drive.
Boone Central High School senior class sponsored a very successful Red Cross blood drive last Wednesday, March 18, at the Casey building at the fairgrounds. A total of 82 donors contributed 95 units of blood, meeting the goal of 95 units.
“It was a very successful day for the school and community,” said senior class sponsor Dan Zoucha. “A total of 26 high school students donated either as first timers or veteran donors.”
Senior class officers Emilie Kelley, Emily Erickson, Emily Groeteke and Layne Hudson were commended for an outstanding job of scheduling seniors for various duties at the blood drive. Community volunteers, led by Diane Krings, were Jane Beckwith, Connie Bentjen and Bridget Wiese who helped to staff the canteen and registration table most of the day
