Thieman selected to play in 2020 NEN All-Star Football Classic

The 8th Annual Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic rosters have been announced by Mike Sunderman, president of the event’s Board of Directors.
Chase Thieman of Petersburg has been selected to represent Boone Central High School in the 2020 edition of the Classic.
The game is scheduled to be played Saturday, June 13, with a 12:00 noon kickoff at Norfolk’s Veteran’s Memorial Field. In the midst of the current coronaviras situation, Sunderman stated that the Board is continuing to plan for the game. A final decision will be made closer to that June date.
Faith Regional Health Services of Norfolk is the game’s Title Sponsor.
Steve Neptune of West Holt High School will be heading the Red NEN All-Star staff. Dan Maresh of Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur will lead the White NEN All-Star coaching contingent.

Chase Thieman, a senior defensive end at Boone Central in 2019, was the second-leading Cardinal tackler with 51.5 total tackles and 37 solo stops. He led Boone Central with nine tackles-for-loss. Also representing the Albion News area in the 2020 all-star contest will be Bryce Classen of Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
