Levanders purchase Newman Grove funeral home

Tony Levander and Paul Cederlind announced this week that Newman Grove Memorial Funeral Home has been purchased by Levander Funeral Homes.
The purchase will add a sixth location for Levander Funeral Homes, which already has locations in Albion, Cedar Rapids, Elgin, Spalding and St. Edward.
The sale was effective Tuesday, March 31, and the business is being renamed as Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove.
All pre-arrangements for services will be honored under the new ownership, Tony said. Anyone having questions can contact the funeral home.
The Newman Grove funeral home was founded in 1890 by C. J. From. Paul Cederlind purchased the Newman Grove business in January 1996, and owned it for more than 24 years.
