Esther Minna Erna Kleveland, 95, of Newman Grove, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove. Esther is survived by her four children: Calvin (Jodeen) Kleveland, Randall (Janice) Kleveland, Bonita Gerloff, all of Newman Grove and Brian (Jan) Kleveland of Columbus, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, parents Albert and Bertha Wollin, one brother, four sisters and son-in-law Frank Gerloff. Esther was the last surviving member of her generation in both the Kleveland and Wollin families.
In hopes of keeping everyone healthy during this time of COVID-19, the family has chosen not to have a public visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at Shell Creek Cemetery, rural Newman Grove.
