Shirley Ann Laudenklos, 84, of Newman Grove, went to her heavenly home with the Lord and her loved ones who went before her, on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Shirley leaves behind her companion dog Bo, son James (Carol) Laudenklos and daughter Julie (Randy) Benson, all of Newman Grove, eight grandchildren: Derek (Kristin) Benson, Cody (Danielle) Benson, Chelsea (Lucas) Apfelbeck, Jamie (Jason) Satterly, Jason Laudenklos, Jeff Laudenklos, Jennifer (Clint) Church, Jana (Jimmy) Wood; 15 great grandchildren: Jayden and Levi Benson, Isabella, Calloway and Bodhi Benson, Sullivan Apfelbeck, Liam, Matyx, Juvae, and Llewyn Satterly, Beckham and Brooks Church, Conner Laudenklos, Faith and Jameson Wood.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, son John Laudenklos and grandson: Randy J. Benson.
In hopes of keeping everyone healthy during this time of COVID-19, the family has chosen not to have public services. A private family funeral service was held Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Levander Funeral Home in Newman Grove with Gene Sarniak officiating. Private family burial followed at Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove.
A public memorial service for Shirley will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Randy Jay Benson Memorial Scholarship.
