4-Hers contribute to new Ag & Education Center

Boone County Junior Leaders and Cloverleaf 4-H Clubs have each received the 2020 Governor’s Ag Excellence Award sponsored by Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA).
With those funds, both clubs are supporting the county’s newest facility, the Agriculture and Education Center.
The $500 awards recognized the clubs for their community service work. The funds are to assist in furthering 4-H outreach and creating an impact within their community.  The grant is an opportunity to increase 4-Hers’ awareness of agricultural careers and encourage youth to pursue the opportunity of such careers.
The Governor’s Agricultural Excellence Award funds provide an opportunity to continue to support the agricultural roots of 4-H while promoting, education and advocating for this essential industry.
Boone County Junior Leaders will be donating their award money to the Agricultural and Education Center’s arena.
The Cloverleaf 4-H grant money will be used to purchase tables and chairs for the center’s conference room.
