Old Albion Fire Station is coming down

The former Albion Fire Station at Fifth and Church Street is being removed, and the metal structure will be erected at a location in the Spalding area by the new owner.
The building has been used for storage since the new Albion Fire Station was completed in 2009.
St. Michael’s Parish now owns the property and will use it to expand its parking area for the near future.
Father Mark Tomasiewicz said there are also plans to remove the masonry portion of the old station located east of the metal structure.
