Donald Pelster of Petersburg (seated, center) was honored by the Boone County Commissioners at their Aug. 26 meeting as a World War II veteran and thanked for his service.
Presenting the plaque were Commissioners Larry Temme (standing), l.-r., Ben Rutten and Alan Rasmussen.
Family members attending were Don’s wife, Rose, and daughters Pat McHugh, Doris Zwingman, Sharon Wood, Elaine Graae and Ruth Landauer. Not pictured is son Dean Pelster.
