County’s COVID case counts up 22 in week

Boone County’s total COVID-19 case numbers increased again during the past week, with 22 new coronavirus cases reported in the county from Sept. 22-29.
As of Tuesday morning, Sept. 29, the county was listed at 85 positive tests since the pandemic began in April, with 40 cases diagnosed in the past 14 days, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The county has had 45 recoveries and no deaths.
Cases reported Tuesday by DHHS from the start of the pandemic in surrounding counties were: Antelope (76 total, 37 recovered, one death), Greeley (28 total, 19 recovered, no deaths), Nance (49 total, 19 recovered, no deaths), Platte (1,111 total, 957 recovered, four deaths), Madison (833 total, 726 recovered, five deaths), and Wheeler (one case, one recovered, no deaths).
Nebraska statewide on Tuesday morning had 44,578 total cases since the pandemic began, 33,087 recovered, and 472 deaths.
