Health Center board views building project

Portions of the west and south walls are now standing at the BCHC outpatient clinic addition.
Boone County Health Center Board of Directors had a walk-through and update on the outpatient clinic expansion project at their regular meeting Tuesday night, Sept. 22.
The board met with Ricky White, site manager with the general contractor, Beckenhauer Construction.
During the past week, phone lines were changed over on Sept. 24, and a change-over of electrical power was conducted by Loup Public Power District in less than two hours on Friday evening, Sept. 25, which resulted in much less disruption for hospital staff and patients, according to Tanya Sharp, president and CEO of the health center.
Precast concrete walls are now standing along both the west and south sides of the new structure. Underground plumbing and electrical work are continuing. Completion of walls along the entire perimeter is expected within the next month. Structural steel work will also continue this week.
