Increase slower for COVID cases

Boone County’s total COVID-19 case numbers increased again during the past week, but the increase was smaller with 13 new coronavirus cases reported in the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 6. The rate of increase slowed from 22 last week.
As of Tuesday morning, Oct. 6, the county had 98 positive tests since the pandemic began in April, with 35 cases diagnosed in the past 14 days, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The county has had 63 recoveries and no deaths.
