Boone Central athletes receive Nebraska Coaches honors

Boone Central senior Abby Broderson was one of 15 Nebraska high school golfers selected to the 2020 Nebraska Coaches Association Girls’ All-Class Super State Team.
Broderson, the 2019 Class C state runner-up and a consistent tournament winner throughout her 2020 senior season, concluded a tremendous high school career by capturing gold medals in the Mid-State Conference Championships, the C-2 District tournament and the 2020 Nebraska Class C State Tournament. Broderson shot rounds of 77/78 at Elks Country Club in Columbus to finish as class champion.
As repeat Class C state champion, it was no surprise that Boone Central had runners selected to the 2020 Nebraska Coaches Association All-State teams recently announced.
Senior Jordan Stopak, who placed third in the Nebraska Class C Girls’ State Championships at the Kearney Country Club, and Cardinal junior Alicia Weeder, Class C seventh-place medalist, are members of the Coaches Association Class C All-State team, along with five other runners.
