COVID risk dial now in red for Boone County

Coronavirus case numbers were increasing at a record pace across Nebraska and in Boone County during the past week.
As of Tuesday, Nov. 10, Boone County HAD 66 additional positive tests within the past 14 days, reaching a total of 211 since the pandemic began. There have been 155 recoveries and no deaths officially listed, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
All area counties are now in the red or “highest risk” category for COVID-19 spread.
Nebraska’s COVID-19 case numbers climbed by nearly 13,000 from Nov. 3-10 to a total of 85,551 since the pandemic began. The state has had 49,314 recoveries and 710 deaths attributed to the disease.
