Coronavirus numbers continued to spike during the past week across Nebraska and in Boone County.
Gov. Pete Ricketts has modified the directed health measures, but had not instituted a mask mandate for the state as of Tuesday, Nov. 17.
By Nov. 17, Boone County had 249 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 38 in the past week.
The county had 77 additional positive tests in the past 14 days. There have been 155 recoveries and no deaths officially listed, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Statewide, the total COVID cases climbed more than 16,000 from Nov. 10-17 to a total of 101,601 since the pandemic began. The state has had 54,095 recoveries and 797 deaths attributed to the disease.
