Final beam in place for BCHC addition

A “Topping Off” ceremony was held as the final beam of the Boone County Health Center’s outpatient clinic expansion was raised into place last Thursday afternoon, Nov. 12.
The beam included many written messages and signatures from hospital staff and the public as part of the “Delivering the Heartland” fundraising campaign to support a new obstetrics facility at BCHC.
The beam was painted blue and included Boone County Health Center’s name and displayed the health center’s mission statement, “Dedicated. Caring. Here.” Keeping with tradition, it also has an American flag, a Nebraska flag, and a tree on top.
Tanya Sharp, BCHC president and CEO, excplained that donations from those who signed the beam will kick off the foundation’s focus project “Delivering the Heartland” which will support a new obstetric space within this outpatient clinic expansion.
