Boone Central one-act team earned the district runner-up title among eight teams in the B-3 District play production contest held last Friday, Dec. 1, at Wayne.
Wayne High School won first place in the competition with their play, “10 Ways to Survive the End of the World,” qualifying for the state contest on Dec. 9 at Norfolk.
Boone Central presented “It’s a Wonderful Neverland” under the direction of coaches Bridget Wiese and Jenni Grape.
Boone Central students recognized with acting awards in the production were Caleb Kohl, Richard Cleveland, Shalee Grape, Abby Brodersen, Tessa Hamling, Seth Wright, Ashlyn Krohn, Myranda Nelson, Lauryn Wright, Brooke Brengelman and Matthew Starman.
Coaches Wiese and Grape said they were very proud of the students’ accomplishments this season.
