Lyla Margene Levander, 93, of Albion, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society, Albion.
She is survived by her five children: Kay (Chuck) Sallach of Charlotte, NC, Ron (Mary) Levander of Albion, Jane (Ray) Schulte of Omaha, Tara (Bob) Tess of Bellevue and Jenni (Mitch) Jones of Holdrege, 14 grandchildren: Rory (Mike) Ruma of Missouri Valley, IA, Lindsay (JR) Young of Charlotte, NC, Megan (Travis) Stevenson of Gretna, Brett Sallach of York, UK; Chris (Jaymee) Levander of Humphrey, Tony (Nicole) Levander of Albion, Scott (Samantha) Levander of Lincoln, Lisa Levander of Missouri Valley, IA, Regan Schulte of Omaha, Alaric (Christine) Schulte of Apopka, FL, Greer Schulte of Denver, CO, Eric (Kelly) Jones of Castle Rock, CO, Alex (Trenda) Jones of Newport News, VA, Reece Jones of Holdrege, 16 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Eloise Landgren of Lincoln, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lyla was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Sylvia Landgren, husband Mel in 2001 and brother Norm Landgren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Albion with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion. A recording of the service will be available later that day on Lyla’s page at www.levanderfuneralhome.com. Visitation, with no family present, will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, at Levander Funeral Home in Albion. It is requested that masks be worn by those in attendance. Social distancing and current Covid-19 DHM’s will be followed at both the visitation and funeral.
