Mary Nell (Semroska) Huerta, 84, of Cozad, passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, surrounded by her six children.
She is survived by her six children: Kathy (Bill) Simpson- Winter Garden, FL, Tony (Connie) Huerta- Caddo Mills, TX, Greg (Lisa) Huerta- Kearney, Andy (Bev) Huerta- Aurora, CO, Vickie (Kevin) Gilbert- Cozad and Tim (Krista) Huerta- Lexington, 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren with one more on the way, brother Joe (Karen) Semroska, Little Falls, MN, sister-in-laws: Mary Ellen Semroska- Harrison, MaryLou Semroska- Omaha, Laura Huerta- Brighton, CO, Rita Garcia, Kansas City, MO, Cora Lucius- Gering and Mary (Joe) Finochio- Pueblo, CO, brother-in-laws: Philip Huerta, Roswell, NM, Salvador (Helen) Huerta- Scottsbluff, Patrick (Franca) Huerta- Bern, Switzerland and Stephen Huerta- Sidney, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband J. Conrad Huerta, her parents Barbara and Richard Semroska, her mother and father-in-law Manuela and Pasqual Huerta, her sisters and their husbands Kay/Eldon Fox, Leona/Rich Robbins and Irene/Dallas Rex; her brothers and their wives Franklin/Ruth Semroska, Lawrence/Aggie Semroska, Donald Semroska, Ray/Doreen Semroska, Ed Semroska and stepsister Agnes DeBano, sisters-in-law- Sr. Pasqualita Huerta, Connie McDowell, and Theresa Ramirez, brothers-in- law and their wives Joe/Natalie Huerta, Pasqual Jr. Huerta, Thomas Lucius and Perry Blanchard.
Nell wanted to be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a devoted catholic.

Viewing and visitation was held Jan. 8, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Cozad with a Rosary following viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Cozad. Inurnment was held Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell.
