Monday’s snowfall caused poor travel conditions

Snowfall Monday into Tuesday, Jan. 25-26, deposited an estimated eight inches of snow in Albion and the Boone County area, causing some tough travel conditions.
Classes were cancelled at local schools both Monday and Tuesday, and clean-up operations took most of the day Tuesday.
Several meetings were either postponed or cancelled due to the storm.
City of Albion declared a snow emergency Monday morning until Wednesday.
