Home-Farm-Garden Show held Saturday

A wide variety of events and activities were featured at the 10th anniversary Boone County Home, Farm and Garden Show last Saturday, March 27, at the fairgrounds.
An estimated 600 people attended the show that featured nearly 70 exhibitors, filling over 100 booth spaces in the Event Center, Casey building and outdoors.
Three informative workshops featured on Saturday were Modern Basic Homemaking (Delores Ruzicka), All American Gardening (Elizabeth Exstrom) and Farmers Future Outlook (Anne Meis and David Merrell).
Special events started with the Carrot Cake Bake-Off, which was won this year by Anne Praise Santos.
Kickin’ Bull BBQ of Battle Creek was the winner of the Pit Boss Barbecue Contest.
