Boone Central FCCLA preps for state leadership conference

Nebraska FCCLA State Leadership Conference will be held virtually next Monday and Tuesday, April 12-13, and the Boone Central FCCLA Chapter will be competing in many events.
Boone Central students among the estimated 600 contestants in State STAR events will be:
• Caydence Guthard – Career Investigation, Level 2.
• Claire Weidner – Fashion Construction, Level 3.
• Rachel Malander – Leadership, Level 3.
• Briana Johnson, Cassidy Maricle, Isabella Meyer, Audra Groth, Mazie Beister, Natalie Pelster and Natalie Schrad – Parliamentary Procedure, Level 2.
• Brittany Preister, Kalli Niemann, Samantha Weeder, Cheyenne Ruhnke and Emma Thompson – Parliamentary Procedure, Level 3.
• Anne Praise Santos – Repurpose and Redesign, Level 2.
• Marisa Malander – Teach and Train, Level 2.
• Avery Olnes – Teach and Train, Level 3.
Also competing at the state level are Tessa Hamling and Serena Henry with the FCCLA Chapter website.
Rachel Malander will be recognized for completing the “A Day in Your Future” program where she will complete an application process, interview mental health professionals and complete reflection activities.
The Boone Central chapter has already received first for the “Capture the Action Award” in Career Connections, and may also be eligible for other awards.
