Boone Central FCCLA members place at state

Boone Central FBLA Chapter participated in the virtual State Leadership Conference on April 14 at school.
Attending members were Lauryn Wright, Ashlyn Krohn, Tanner Bauld, Graham Kahlandt, Abby Brodersen, Lauren Kohtz, Serena Henry, Claire Weidner, Julia Nore, Shalee Grape, Madyson Zoucha, Madisyn Cunningham and Tessa Hamling.
Several Boone Central FBLA members were among the finalists receiving awards.
Serena Henry and Claire Weidner were seventh in Publication Design. Graham Kahlandt and Tanner Bauld placed seventh in Digital Video Production. Lauren Kohtz and Abby Brodersen were sixth in Broadcast Journalism. Ashlyn Krohn narrowly missed an automatic bid to nationals, finishing fourth in Introduction to Business Communications. Shalee Grape kept a three-year streak going as a finalist at SLC with a sixth place finish in Public Speaking. 
“Making  finals at SLC is very difficult,” said FBLA sponsor Joel Sup. “I am so proud of all of our students’ efforts, and Boone Central FBLA can’t wait to get back to a more normal season next year.”
