Boone Central High School TeamMates gathered Sunday evening, April 25, to celebrate the chapter’s 21 years of success.
Theme of the celebration was “You Mean the World to Us,” with special music, “We are the World/Heal the World,” by the Voice of Hope Children’s Choir.
The past two years have marked major growth milestones for the Boone Central chapter.
In 2020, there were 53 mentor-mentee matches, and in the past year there are 54 matches.
Special awards were also presented to 10-year mentor Joan Bruland and 15-year mentor Roger Gentrup, who also serves as chapter president. They were thanked for sharing their guidance and friendship with the young people they have mentored over the years.
