Memorial Day ceremonies are planned in Albion, Petersburg, Newman Grove and St. Edward on Monday, May 31.
Albion ceremonies are at 11 a.m. at the courthouse entrance. Paul Hosford will be guest speaker.
Cedar Rapids ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery west of town.
Newman Grove’s ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. in Hope Cemetery south of town. Merlin Seeman will be guest speaker.
Petersburg’s ceremony will be at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in the village park on Highway 14. Sgt. Anna Cleveland of the Nebraska National Guard will be guest speaker.
St. Edward’s ceremony will be at 9:45 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery east of town. Pastor Vern Olson will be guest speaker.
