Future babysitters get recent training

Participants learned to perform CPR on children during the May 25 babysitting course.
Youth from ages 10 to 15 recently received training in babysitting at a workshop hosted Tuesday, May 25, by Boone County Health Center and UNL Extension.
There were 23 workshop participants, and training was from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They received training in the business of babysitting, child development stages, diapering and potty training, CPR and First Aid, safety, entertaining children, building a babysitting bag, and food and nutrition.
Each participant received a certificate after completing the course.
