In a brief meeting Tuesday night, June 8, the Albion City Council repealed regulations setting restrictions on use of public facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The resolutions adopted last spring set restrictions and requirements for the use of city facilities, such as the Albion Sports Complex and Albion Family Aquatic Center, during the pandemic.
These restrictions were removed with the adoption of the new resolution.
Nuisance Properties
The council reviewed status reports on two Albion residential properties, and then adopted resolutions declaring both as nuisance properties. These properties are located at 236 South 7th Street and 802 West Columbia Street.
Property owners will now have 30 days to remediate the nuisance conditions or request a public hearing before the council.
