Albion’s Madyson Zoucha wins Miss Nebraska Teen title

Madyson Zoucha, a soon-to-be senior at Boone Central High School, won the title of Miss Nebraska Teen at the state National American Miss (NAM) competition held last weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
Competitions for the states of Iowa and Nebraska were held at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown, June 11-13, with many girls determined to win the crown.
NAM is a pageant system focused on building confidence and teaching real world skills to girls across the country.
Zoucha competed in several different events, including formal wear, personal introduction, and interview. In formal wear, girls wear fancy ball gowns and present the judges with proper and poised movements that describe who they are.
In personal introduction, the girls are given 30 seconds to prepare a speech all about themselves, including passions and interests of each contestant.
And in interview, the contestants are in front of four to eight judges and are asked questions that they must answer as they see fit.
Not only did Zoucha excel in her required events, but also in other events such as modeling, photogenic and runway. She received first runner-up in modeling and photogenic, and first overall in runway.
