Anton “Tony” Klassen, 96, of Lindsay, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion.
Tony is survived by daughter: Linda (Dave) Henggeler of Colorado Springs, CO, Pat (Kent) Preister and Sue (Larry) Bender, all of Lindsay, Mary (Don) Peterson of Columbus and Teresa (Kevin) Scholl of Bloomington, IL; sons: Bill (Georgia) Klassen of St. Edward, Jim (Cindy) Klassen, Mike (Sandy) Klassen, Tony (Kathy) Klassen, Jr. and Paul (Cindy) Klassen, all of Lindsay, and John (Denise) Klassen of Humphrey; 45 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a sister Ceil McGill of Walnut, CA.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Eva Klassen, wife Orma Klassen, three great grandchildren, brothers: Ralph and Thomas Klassen; sisters Mary Ann Klassen, Ruth Schumacher and Pat Hennessy; two infant brothers: Edward and Raymond Klassen and one infant sister Marjorie Klassen.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay with Fr. Wayne Pavela celebrating the Mass. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
