A limited amount of funds totaling $17,139 remain available in Albion’s downtown Facade Improvement Program, so the Albion DTR Committee is taking a final round of applications for facade improvement forgivable loans.
Downtown property owners were notified this week that any approved improvements must be completed by Oct. 1, 2021, to qualify for funding. Albion’s DTR grant expires on that date.
Applications will be due by July 9, 2021, and projects are limited to the downtown district, which is bordered by Sixth Street on the west, State Street on the south, and the railroad right of way on the north and east.
Project applications will be ranked on the basis of the previously announced priorities. Applications can be turned in at Albion City Hall. To request an application, email to: bcdasec@boone-county.org or stop by city hall.
