Special events are planned for this Saturday, July 3, to kick off Independence Day weekend in Albion.
A “Duck Derby, sponsored by the Albion Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday, July 3, at the Albion Country Club stream as a fund-raiser. The 500 ducks are on sale this week at $5 each. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top six finishers, as well as last place.
A fireworks display will also be held at the country club at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, with assistance from the Albion Volunteer Fire Department.
This event will also help to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Albion Country Club in 2021. All members and guests are welcome.
