MCT returns for ‘Red Riding Hood’ production

Red Riding Hood (Sadie Baldwin) gets help from her friends (l. to r.) Robin Hood (Kaleb Wright) Mother Hood (Vivian Carnley) and Brother Hood (Raphael Martinez) in finding her way during the Missoula Children’s Theatre production at Boone Central School.
Missoula Children’s Theatre returned to Albion after missing a year previously due to the coronavirus pandemic. Auditions were held Monday, June 21, and parts for each of the children participating were chosen that day.
Twenty-one actors and actresses were selected and worked throughout the week in order to be performance ready for the shows held on Saturday, June 26, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The play production this year was “Red Riding Hood,” a spinoff of the original story, directed by Joshua Wood and Andre Sponder. The accompanist providing music was Carol Nelson. Doug Wright and Josh Peterson provided help with sound and lighting.
In the MCT version, Red Riding Hood and her gal pals look to try and stay on the path to Grandma’s house, attempting to avoid the lurky, gloomy darkness.
