Boone Beginnings will host Family Fun Day on Aug. 1

A Family Fun Day and fundraiser will be held Sunday, Aug. 1, for the new Boone Beginnings Early Childhood and Family Development Center.
This event will be held at the Boone Beginnings site, 1277 South Sixth Street, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m.
Boone-Nance Cattlemen will be grilling hamburgers for a free will lunch from 11 to 2. Cold beer will also be available for adults.
Building Tours
Tours of the new building will be available. The main hallway will be open, and tour guides can describe the locations of various classrooms and other spaces.
Activities for kids will include face painting, balloon animals, Kona ice, and super heroes and princesses who will visit in costume.
Theme of the day will be: “Help Furnish the Building,” with a Giving Tree for donors. Each leaf of the tree will be an item that is needed, including books, toys and furnishings. The donor can simply pick a leaf or leaves ($25 and up) and help out by purchasing the designated item.
