St. Edward celebrates 150 years at Beaver Valley Days

Parade Grand Marshal Joycelyn Christenson with two granddaughters in the convertible driven by Mike Sindelar
St. Edward went all out in celebrating 150 years of community history during Beaver Valley Days last Friday through Sunday, Aug. 6-8.
The three-day event included a dance, a Heritage Festival, meals, many games and contests, and a parade on Saturday evening.
Beaver Valley Days were started in July of 1978 with everyone in the community working together. Joycelynn Christensen, Grand Marshal for this year’s parade, wrote invitations to the initial event to all the towns around St. Edward.
