City Council appoints three to posts

Receiving mayoral appointments to their positions at the Sept. 14 Albion City Council meeting were, l.-r., Warren Myers, sewer commissioner; Joe Predmore, police lieutenant, and Craig Gragert, water commissioner.
During their Sept. 14 regular meeting, the Albion City Council also ratified three appointments by Mayor Jim Jarecki to permanent city positions.
Joe Predmore was appointed Police Lieutenant. Craig Gragert was appointed Water Commissioner, and Warren Myers was appointed Sewer Commissioner.
Gragert and Myers were formerly interim commissioners, but their appointments will now be on a permanent basis.
Police Chief Brent Lipker said Predmore has been an Albion Police officer for the past 20 years, and he wanted an officer appointed to take command and make decisions in the chief’s absence. The council approved the police lieutenant’s job description.
