Boone Central Middle School students and staff have now been in new surroundings in Albion for over a month, but the process began with a facilities study initiated nearly three years ago in December 2018.
After the study and designs were completed, construction began in the fall of 2020.
The move to the new structure was completed just before the 2021-22 school year began, and a ribbon cutting was held Aug. 16, 2021.
A feature in this week’s Albion News/Boone Co. Tribune reviews the project from start to finish.
Glass contractors were busy after the school year began, installing sliding glass doors between the middle school media center and classrooms .
