Boone Central’s 2021 softball season officially concluded Monday in the C-8 Subdistrict tournament at the Bill Smith Complex in Hastings. The Cardinals, seeded #3, defeated #2 seed St. Paul (14-16) for the second time in five days by a score of 11-6, but dropped an 11-3 decision to #1 seed and Class C Top 10 Hastings St. Cecelia in the sub final. St. Cecilia (26-7) advanced to the final with a 12-0 win over Centura/Central Valley (9-20). Boone Central finishes the ‘21 campaign with a 12-20 record.
