Boone Central High School’s one-act play team earned runner-up honors in the District One-Act competition at Schuyler on Monday, Nov. 29.
A public performance of their play, ”The Emperor’s New Clothes,” is set for this Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Boone Central Performance Gym. Desserts will be served, and free-will donations will be accepted.
District Contest
Host Schuyler won the district title and will advance to the state contest. They outscored Boone Central by just four points at district.
Boone Central students earning acting awards at district were Rachel Malander, Tanner Bauld, Aiden Nore, Tessa Hamling, Brooke Brengelman, Ashlyn Krohn, Serena Henry, Bella Meyer, Shalee Grape, Graham Kahlandt and Dylan Baumgartner.
