Boone County’s 4-H Horse Bowl team of Cassidy Maricle, Kaidence Wulf, Rebekah Ketelsen and Lydia Ketelsen represented Nebraska in the National 4-H Horse Classic, which is part of the Western National 4-H Roundup in Denver.
The Boone County team finished in fifth place at the contest.
The National 4-H Horse Bowl Contest provides an opportunity for youth in 4-H horse projects to demonstrate their knowledge of equine-related subjects in a fair and friendly competitive setting.
The contest also provided an educational experience for both participants and spectators. Youth had the opportunity to attend leadership workshops and a career expo during their stay.
