County’s speech students find success at state

Boone Central, St. Edward and Riverside Public Schools earned many medals in the Nebraska State Speech Championships held last week in Kearney.
Boone Central finished third as a team in Class C-1, with five of the team’s nine entries earning state medals.
St. Edward placed fifth in Class D-2 state competition, with three of the team’s six entries earning medals.
Riverside High School also had a top 10 finish in Class D-1. Three Riverside entries advance to state, and two of those earned medals.
