United Methodist Church celebrates 150th

More than 150 people attended the 150th anniversary worship service at the Albion United Methodist Church last Sunday, April 24.
Rev. Lynde Linde welcomed the congregation and called attention to the preparations made by many parishioners. Her sermon topic was “Jesus – the Same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.”
Two retired former Albion UMC ministers, Rev. Earl Reed (1979-1984) and Rev. Terry Otto (1998-2005) provided recollections of their service, and Chuck Leypoldt, son of former minister Woodrow W. Leypoldt (1959-1968) told stories about growing up in the church and parsonage. A video greeting was sent from former pastor Dale Howard (1984-1990).
Longtime members were also recognized.
