School Board approves contracts, hears from patrons

Boone Central School Board set administrative contract salaries for 2022-23 and approved three teacher contracts for the coming school year on Monday night.
The board also received public comments on a variety of topics.
About 30 people attended the meeting in addition to the board and administrators.
Contracts Approved
New faculty members hired for the coming school year were Miles Ray, middle school social studies teacher; Leanne Blanchard, high school guidance counselor, and Margo Cox, middle school Special Education teacher.
Administrative contracts were approved for 2022-23 at the following salaries:
• Middle School Principal Bill Curry, $107,000;
• Activities Director Jon Perone, $81,500;
• Elementary Principal Craig Theis, $94,200;
• Superintendent Nicole Hardwick, $148,860.
The contract of incoming High School Principal Jeff Schwartz was approved in December at a salary of $107,000.
The board accepted the resignation request of Chris Grundmayer, middle school social studies teacher, who is moving to a different teaching position next year.
