Fair wraps up with concert, Big Air ATVs

Boone County Fair wrapped up Wednesday, July 13, with good attendance for the country music concert on Tuesday night, July 12, and smaller crowds for the Red Neck Night on Monday and ATV Big Air Tour on Wednesday night.
“Everything went well overall,” said Cody Gulbrandson, fair board chairman. “Except for the heat on Sunday, the weather also cooperated for our events.”
An estimated 1,900 people attended the Tuesday night concert featuring Tyler Farr with special guest Muscadine Bloodline. Tina Henn, concert chairperson, said attendance was 700 in the pit and 1,200 in the grandstand.
Attendance was estimated at about 200 for Red Neck Night, which featured the Skid Steer Olympics, Nag Hag Race and backward car races. About 300 people attended the ATV Big Air Tour event on Wednesday night.
The fair board met Monday night, July 18, to review the fair.
