A brief but intense storm caused heavy damage at Helena Agri-Enterprises and tree damage in several Albion locations Saturday evening, July 23.
The storm hit at about 6:30 p.m. and lasted only 15 to 20 minutes.
Although a wind speed estimate was not available for that time period, it was enough to rip off siding on the south side of the Helena storage building. The storm also dislodged two overhead doors on the building’s west side, and caused other damage. A contractor was inspecting the building Monday.
Trees and branches were down at many locations in Albion.
