John Charles Scheef, 76 of Spalding, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Bryan Medical Center West Campus, Lincoln. John is survived by his wife Regina of Spalding, five children: Denise (Kevin) Keeshan of Lincoln, Kristin (Jason) Sparr of Denton, Shannon (Philip) Landauer of Sioux Rapids, IA, Robbie (Briana) Scheef of Lincoln and Danielle (Scott) Johnson of Pierce, grandchildren: Austin Keeshan, Nolan, Adysen and Rylen Landauer, Aiden and Kyler Scheef and Lake Johnson, step-grandchild: Taya Johnson, two brothers: Jim (Elaine) Scheef of Gretna and Jerry (Marlynn) Scheef of Spalding, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law John and Prudie Bernt.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, July 29, 2022 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding with Fr. Antony Thekkekara and Deacon Ron Glaser officiating. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
