Albion Fire & Rescue to host over 70 firefighters, EMTS for training

Live fire training like this will be part of Saturday’s session.
Some 71 fire and EMT personnel of various training levels will be participating in the Mid-Nebraska Mini Fire School at the Albion Fire Station Training Center this Friday evening and all day Saturday, Aug. 12-13.
The fire and rescue personnel will be coming from 18 departments, according to Albion Fire Chief Bruce Benne.
Fire response classes will be taught by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Training Division, while EMS classes will be taught by Central Community College.
The training is sponsored by the Mid-Nebraska Mutual Aid Association.
Albion hosted its first mini fire school last August with a total of 39 participants, so this year’s training program will be nearly double in size.
