Boone Beginnings to open additional classroom

Kitchen area in one of the outdoor playgrounds is popular with toddlers at Boone Beginnings.
With the start of fall, Boone Beginnings Early Childcare and Family Development Center is poised to take another step in growth.
The center will be opening another classroom in late September, and that will allow for about 10 additional children, according to Mattaya Addison, the center director.
There are currently 30 children enrolled at Boone Beginnings, including 14 infants up to 18 months of age, 10 toddlers from 19 months to three years old, and six preschoolers, ages three, four and five.
The new classroom will allow enrollment of four more infants and six more toddlers, bringing the total enrollment to 40.
“We are finding that our infant waiting list is the longest one we have,” said Mattaya. “This is a little different scenario than we were originally planning.”
