Freedom Walk here recalls lessons of 9/11

Color Guard opens the 2022 Freedom Walk at Fuller Park.
About 80 area residents recalled the emotions experienced and lessons learned from the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 last Sunday evening at Fuller Park in Albion.
A Freedom Walk was held to open the ceremony, led by a 20-member Color Guard of area veterans and Boy Scouts. The procession wound through the Good Samaritan Wolf Home and Samaritan Estates, as well as several residential blocks before returning to the park.
A brief program of remembrance was held after the walk. Tina Landauer, vice commander of the Albion American Legion Post, was guest speaker.
Each year, ceremonies are held on 9/11 to express America’s love and admiration for the nearly 3,000 men, women and children who died on 9/11, as well as the courageous first responders who came to their aid.
