Tennille Friese, who has been a Veterans Service Office employee since August, was appointed by the county commissioners to take her place on that date.
Wells met briefly in closed session with the county board before the action was taken to amend her previously planned retirement date of Dec. 31, 2022. She has served as Veterans Service Officer for the past 17 years, and expressed confidence in Friese’s ability to handle the job.
Commissioners met for less than two hours Monday, and conducted mostly routine business.
