The Cardinal wrestling program hosted the annual Boone Central Duals Saturday, giving a strong performance in the final competition prior to the holiday break.
Boone had just two open weights and took advantage of its best numbers situation of the season by finishing 3-1 in the five-team event.
“We beat Aurora for the first time in many years,” said Cardinal Coach Josh Majerus. “The boys found ways to win close duals to finish in second place – only loss was to Class B Beatrice. Carson Wood, Sam Grape and Hank Hudson all went undefeated.”
